Carving Pumpkins What a Task!
The annual pumpkin carving and I am still not sure why we do it. This is Bridger digging out his pumpkin guts, but as you can see he is pulling a face. Well, it is because he was gagging. We had to make him at least touch it and he gagged until he almost threw up.
Jacoy did better. She even smiled while scooping out the guts.
Halloween
I know this is late but I thought that I would post a few Halloween pictures. We have been keeping busy. To be quite honest, I just don't know where the time has been going. We were happy to celebrate Taft's first Halloween.
This was Bridger being a cowboy at the parade.
Taft was the cutest Lion in the whole world. He would growl just like a lion.
Okay, so we did paint their faces before we went to the church for the Halloween party. It wore off by the time we got home and I didn't get prior pictures. I would say that Halloween was fun.

Rocks at Cornbelly's
I was waiting to get these pictures so that I could talk about one of our kids favorite things to do at Cornbelly's. They love to look for "gemstones". You buy a bag of dirt that has the stones in it and then you dump some of the dirt into your basket and swish it around until you just have the big rocks and the "gems". Of course every year that we have done this we do it when it gets dark. You would have thought we would have learned by now to do it during the daylight....but we haven't:) We want to thank Uncle Van for his phone because Jacoy used it like a flashlight and when he would go to put it away she would say "hey I need that." He helped her to find more stones then she ever would have without his help and his phone. So here is a BIG Thanks.

Notice that she is extremely wet on her belly and pants. It just disgusted her to be wet.
Grandma looks cute, Coy is showing one of her many expressions, and Bridger is eating:) (If you look closely you can see that Bridger is wet too)

Cornbelly's
We went to Cornbelly's in Oct, but I never had a chance to post the pictures. So, here they are....

From L-R in the front is Swasey, Aunt Jamee, Kenleigh holding Bridger, and Kami. On the back is Chandler, Jacoy, and Kody. These are some of my cousins.
Of course Jacoy wanted to show off her scarecrow creations that she made with Grandma LeeAnn.
Oh, yes we got to have Aunt Jamee and Jacoy ride the horseless carriage...
When there is competition against her brother, you must have a very serious look... This is where they put the ducks in the water and try to pump water to get in to the other side.
When you are in competition against your sister, you need to look as silly as possible since it might make her mad.
Grandma LeeAnn and Jacoy were the only ones that decided to ride the little animal train and they rode together.
Of course we need to do the corn maze....
Working together to figure out the map....
The meltdown...
He really thinks he knows where he is going...
They were so tired when we got home that when we brought them into the house they didn't even move when we laid them down. We had a great time. Thanks everyone who wen with us.

Do we carve pumpkins or do we not....that is the question?
The week of Halloween flew by with a blink of an eye. The kids had a few Halloween parties at school, church, and daycare which added to our daily routine, but was a tons of fun. BUT the poor pumpkins got neglected. These great pumpkins came from Grandpa Marshall's garden...Thanks Grandpa! I wasn't sure if they would get carved or not.
Jacoy thought it was gross to pull out the guts.
Even though they don't look very scary Bridger is terrified that one might eat his hand. So, he is nervouse when he walks by them:) What a kid.
Well, Halloween night it finally happened and these are the results.
Bridger started with a spoon to pull out each seed one by one.
Then we told him he needed to use his hands because it would take to long, and that did not go over well at all to say the least. That is why he looks so sad (and I have the worst camera when it comes to red eye). He did not want to touch it nor would he touch it. He told us we could do it if we wanted the seeds out.
And finally two happy kids and two glowing pumpkins. Jacoy drew her face on herself and I had the pleasure of trying to follow her lines. She even drew eye brows and eye lashes after it was carved as well as pupils.

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!
This was part of our Halloween.
Jacoy was a princess and Bridger was Peter Pan. I really thought that Jacoy would be Tinkerbelle, but she just wanted to be Jacoy the Princess. They had a primary activity on the Saturday before Halloween where they made cupcakes and went trick-or-treating at the care center. This was actually the only candy they got for all of Halloween.
They also went trick-or-treating at the Union building at the University were they got things like playdough, pencils, stickers, and other little toys.
Look how excited they were through the whole magic show. It was a good night.
We did not have any kids come to our house this year, and we didn't go door to door either. But we had a wonderful Halloween.
