When we got back from our trip it was time to celebrate Bridger's Birthday. The day before his birthday we drove down to Beaver to pick him and Coy up. In their travels they had ended up at Grandma LeeAnn's. Well, Grandma decided to get him a Lightning McQueen cake and it was CUTE. So we celebrated that night down there and then drove home after. The next day was his REAL birthday and we went out to lunch as a family. Then two days later he had his first friend party. We were planning an outside party but things changed that day due to weather.

Just chilin' at the motel
Cabella's in WV
Okay, so we stopped at the Cabella's out there to see what kind of stuffed animals they have. Well, their blows Utah's out the park. (Sorry Utah) I mean come on a stuffed Elephant, Alligator, Rhino, HUGE Bear, and Zebra's being attacked by Lions. It was pretty cool...I must say. We will take the older kids there soon.
Taft could have cared less...maybe when he is a little older.
Trip to Pennsylvania
Matt, Taft, and I flew out to Pennsylvania for four days. He had to go and meet with Consol and we needed to see what it was like out there. Here are a few of the pictures. These are actually between West Virginia and Ohio. We traveled to them all. We had a nice time. We are want to thank ALL of our family that helped out with the older kids. We wished we could have taken them too, but we know that we were able to accomplish much more having them back here in Utah.

Jacoy's Concert
Cupcakes!
We love Cupcakes and so we thought that we would try something a little different. So, we made a regular plain batch of cake and then we separated it into cups and died each cup with different food colors. We then took a teaspoon of each color and put them into each cupcake holder. The kids thought that when it baked that all of the colors would mix together and make brown, but to their surprise the colors stayed separate. And this is what we had....(Bridger thought each color tasted different even though they were all the same flavor...so funny) We did top them with chocolate frosting. YUMMY! Note: some pictures are kind of blurry...so sorry!
Wow....it has been awhile...
Yes, I know that has been awhile. Not because I haven't wanted to blog, but because life has been hitting at full force. Updates....
***Basketball came to an end. Sad for the kids but happy for their mom. What was I thinking that I could coach 4-5 year olds.....yes I am crazy. But it was fun. We started basketball two weeks after Taft was born and it ended in February. We had two games almost every Saturday. One for each kid. The best part is that they both improved over the season...Yeah! But I am glad that it is done.
***Matt has been very busy school. Three more weeks! YEAH! He has been waiting for this day and now that it is here he wants it to slow down a little. Due to the amount of work he has left. We are so proud of him.
***We have been remodeling our house as well to get it back on the market. And YEAH we got it done. We had an open house this last weekend and with very very little sleep the house barely was ready for it. We were hanging trim in one of the new bedrooms right before it was time. We have had many showings this last week=good, we just need one offer and that would=GREAT. I am told patience. Better said then down. We would like it to sell before we leave the state. That is right we are moving and it is far far away. Watch out Pennsylvania here we come. We have mixed feelings but we know that the Lord wouldn't lead us somewhere that we aren't supposed to be.
***Jacoy is still loving school and friends....did I mention friends. She is very social. A few Fridays ago it was about two in the afternoon and there was a knock on the door. (Fridays are early out days) To my surprise it was a mom dropping her daughter off for a play date. I did not know it but Jacoy had sent a note home with her friend that said, " I would like you to come to my house Friday after school. Anytime will work. Please have your mom drive you." Yes, I was surprised, but then the sister ended up staying too. I don't care when kids come here but we had to have a talk on telling "MOM" first before the play date is made. She said but you had been telling me No. (Reason: Our house was torn to shreds due to the remodel. Weather was horrible outside. Extra kids in house was just way to overwhelming for mother)
*** Bridger celebrated his 5th Birthday! Yes, sad but true. Picture will come soon. He was lucky enough to have a party at Grandma LeeAnn's and a friend party at our house. He is very busy, but a big help.
***Taft just turned 5 months. He is growing way to fast. More update on him later with pictures.
*** Me, well I have been busy being a mom, fixing the house, trying to keep it clean while keeping up on the dreaded laundry that seems to multiply faster each day even though more people aren't living here (I think it is due to the fact that Jacoy changes her clothes numerous times after school and then the baby too), trying to organize a move, and all of the many other things that need to be done.
But in it all we are all doing well. I am going to have to be a better blogger for my family since it will be the best way to see what is happening. Lots more posts to come and lots of changes happening in our lives. We are very blessed and we know that the Lord is watching out for us.

Teachers don't feel bad..
Teachers don't feel bad when your first grade student questions your homework. She isn't doing it to put you on the spot. SIGH..sIgh...siGh..sigH
So, here is the scoop. Coy has reading books every night. Sometimes more than one. She gets a sticker on her sticker chart when she reads them. On the top of the chart it says "25 books" not "25 days". So, she started bring home 5-7 books a night. I just let her read them to me. I would sign her off and write how many books. Then this week started and she asked the teacher why her sticker chart wasn't full since she read way more than "25 books" this past two weeks. The teacher told her that the point was one sticker per night. So, Coy told her then she needed to put that information on the chart instead of "25 books." So, as a teacher you should just say "I am glad you pointed that out. I should probably fix that in case someone else is confused." Then move on. Please don't dwell.
Still she is bringing home that many books and I asked "why?" She said, "Well if I don't get a sticker per book then I am just going to read all of the books she has so she can't send any more home with me." Again I asked "why?" She again replied, "If there is no more books in her class to read, maybe she will find something worth reading." Oh child I don't think that is the point.
This has all started because she wants to prove some point, why I don't know. But I love her and am glad she can read and comprehend what she reads. She just understands too much sometimes and then she is head strong.
Coy I love you and I am proud of you. Please just be nice to your teachers.

cAlLiNg ThE tOoThFaIrY.....
This is her fifth tooth since September. I don't think that they should be falling out so fast. She lost three on the bottom and only two grew in and there is no room for a third. Then she has had a loose tooth on the top for a long time, in fact, when we went to the dentist this last week they tried to help it out but it was just barely hanging in there. And then yesterday happened and it fell out at lunch. We forgot to get the tooth ready last night and then today at school she lost another one. She was eating a pear when it fell out in the last five minutes of school. This wouldn't be so bad except if you can see the newest tooth isn't coming quite how it should be. I see braces in our future....yikes! I am sorry toothfairy, she is just trying to break the bank. Oh, how she is growing up....sigh.
